TENDER DESCRIPTION

The project pursues the objective of technically and structurally upgrading a portion of the existing bar screen system, including the associated operating building, comprehensively. The new bar screen system is to be designed for a guaranteed maximum influent flow rate of Qmax = 800 l/s and to meet the current requirements for occupational safety, hygiene, energy efficiency and maintenance accessibility. The focus is on a robust, low-maintenance design and ensuring uninterrupted operation during the construction phase. As part of this measure, the bar screens and screenings washing presses are to be completely replaced, the extraction/aspiration system is to be renewed, and the control and electrical components are to be replaced with new Ex-compliant systems. In addition, structural measures are planned to eliminate mould growth and to improve the indoor climate in the building. The existing overhead crane system is to be assessed for suitability for the new technology and, if necessary, upgraded taking corrosion protection into account.
