BKP 170-01 Special deep foundation works Initial situation The Canton of Zurich is carrying out the overall refurbishment and extension of the existing operational building of the Lake Police and Shipping Control at the Oberrieden site. During the construction period, the ongoing police operations are relocated to the already established temporary facilities. This call for tenders concerns the special deep foundation works on the existing building, not the temporary facilities. The special deep foundation works are awarded as an independent package (BKP 170-01) and are to be coordinated with the building contractor works (BKP 211-01) and the other trades. Project overview The project includes the refurbishment of the existing base and its extension. The special deep foundation works essentially include: • Drilling and cutting works in concrete and masonry • Deep foundations with micropiles • Securing and underpinning of existing structural components • Dewatering during the construction period Excavation of the building pit and earthworks are not part of this package.
