TENDER DESCRIPTION

As specified in the need report prepared by the contract’s responsible technical officer: [SIC] “GIAHSA manages more than 100 groundwater abstraction points along the Sierra de Huelva. Monitoring the turbidity levels of the water abstracted from these abstraction points over the last five years has shown the need to apply filtration processes in many of them in order to comply with the stated regulatory criterion. After an implementation study, groupings have been designed that make it possible to reduce the number of filtration stations by installing them at the point where the water enters the head tanks or regulating tanks. Among the water supply systems in which the installation of Filtration Stations is required, the following stand out: Fuenteheridos (for health safety regarding the abstraction from the Fuente de los Doce Caños spring located in the heart of the urban area), Aroche (for health safety regarding the abstraction at spring abstraction points from Barranquitos and from the Pozos Belleza), Hinojales (to reduce peak turbidity in the event of rainfall), and Los Marines for the same reason.
