The publication of the call for tenders on the internet portal of E.S.H.DI.S. was on 24-9-2026. The contract notice was sent for publication in the Official Journal of the European Union on 22-9-2026. The deadline for the submission of offers is 27-10-2026 at 14:00. The contract start date is from its signing. The contract end date is 31-12-2028. The delivery and acceptance times are specified in Annex I of the Tender, titled "Technical Specifications-Requirements". The contract is financed for the fiscal years 2027-2028.

The core scope of work for this tender is the procurement and supply of specialized laboratory equipment, reagents, and systems.

The Statement of Work (SOW) includes the following core deliverables:

• Solid-phase extraction columns suitable for isolating addictive substances and drugs from biological samples.
• Volatile organic solvents, specifically Hexane and Petroleum ether.
• Reagents for drug detection, including rapid immunochromatographic tests for drug detection in urine.
• A complete system for the simultaneous automated isolation of biological materials/elements using magnetic beads, their preparation for quantification, and selective multiplication via Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR). This includes reagent systems for robotic sample isolation capable of isolating nucleic acids from forensic samples (such as blood, sperm, hair, and bones).
• A reagent system for genetic analyzers, featuring an optimized polymer system for human identification applications compatible with Applied Biosystems 3500XL Genetic Analyzers.
• A genetic material quantification system via real-time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) for the amplification and quantification of human genetic material, capable of simultaneously quantifying human and male genomic DNA.

Additional requirements include:

• Delivery of items to specified locations in Athens and Thessaloniki.
• Macroscopic inspection of reagents upon receipt.
• Partial deliveries of items based on laboratory needs, with up to three deliveries per year.
• Ensuring delivery within thirty (30) working days of an official order.
• Providing immediate scientific support (24/7, 365 days) by specially trained personnel for any scientific issues that may arise during the use of the items, with a response time not exceeding 48 hours from initial written notification.
• The manufacturer or supplier must provide sufficient quantities of items and appropriately trained personnel for system installation and demonstration for at least eight (8) individuals for one (1) day, and offer scientific contribution to the validation of the laboratory protocol throughout the process, without additional financial charge.
