TENDER DESCRIPTION

An external service is to be procured for the structured support of the science-oriented deep-tech incubator Materials Lab Incubator (MerLIn) of RWTH Aachen University. MerLIn is located at the Institute of Biology and Biotechnology and is funded under the STARK funding directive. The objective of the incubator is to accompany start-up teams from the university and non-university research environment in developing scientific ideas into market-ready companies. The thematic focus in particular is on sustainable materials, biotechnology, synthetic biology, microbiology, circular economy, waste recovery and green chemistry. The subject of this procurement is the design, organisation, implementation, coordination and documentation of a structured mentoring and entrepreneurship support offering for the start-up teams funded under MerLIn. The target group consists predominantly of deep-tech start-ups and/or spin-off projects with a high level of scientific and technological maturity, but often with limited entrepreneurial experience.
