TENDER DESCRIPTION

An external service is to be procured for structured support of the science-near Deep-Tech incubator Materials Lab Incubator (MerLIn) of RWTH Aachen University. MerLIn is based at the Institute of Biology and Biotechnology and is funded under the STARK funding guideline. The incubator’s goal is to accompany founding teams from the university and non-university research environment in developing scientific ideas into marketable companies. The thematic focus is in particular on sustainable materials, biotechnology, synthetic biology, microbiology, circular economy, waste recovery and green chemistry. The subject of the procurement is the design, organization, implementation, coordination and documentation of a structured mentoring and entrepreneurship support offering for the founding teams funded within the framework of MerLIn. The target group consists predominantly of Deep-Tech start-ups or spin-off initiatives with a high level of scientific and technological maturity, yet often with limited entrepreneurial experience.
