TENDER DESCRIPTION

The construction works in the North Wing essentially include extensive restructuring of the existing building, the energy-related refurbishment of the building envelope, and the technical and functional upgrading of the four-storey building part erected in the 1980s, including adjustments to the façade and windows, the floor plans, and the building services equipment (electrical systems, room air technology, sanitary services, heating/geo-thermal energy). Execution is carried out within the existing building while maintaining ongoing clinic operations, and taking into account adjacent usage units not affected by the conversion (including doctors’ surgeries). As a result, particular requirements arise especially with regard to hygiene, fire protection, noise and vibration management, construction scheduling and user coordination, as well as safety and suicide prevention measures when dealing with a sensitive patient clientele. The construction project is funded with funds from the State of Lower Saxony. The contracting authority is Burghof-Klinik GmbH, Virchowstraße 5, 31737 Rinteln.
