TENDER DESCRIPTION

The construction work in the north wing essentially includes extensive restructuring of the existing building, the energy-efficient renovation of the building envelope, and the technical and functional upgrading of the four-storey building section constructed in the 1980s, including adaptations to the facade and windows, the floor plans, and the technical building equipment (electrical, room air technology, sanitary, heating/geothermal). The work will be carried out in the existing building while maintaining ongoing clinic operations, and taking into account adjacent operational units not affected by the refurbishment (including, among others, doctors’ practices). As a result, special requirements arise in particular with regard to hygiene, fire protection, noise and vibration management, construction scheduling and user coordination, as well as safety and suicide-prevention measures when dealing with a sensitive patient clientele. The construction project is funded by funds from the State of Lower Saxony. The contracting authority is Burghof-Klinik GmbH, Virchowstraße 5, 31737 Rinteln.
