TENDER DESCRIPTION

The municipality of Leiden is renewing the public realm in Gasthuiswijk – Haagweg Zuid, phase 4. The contract comprises the technical elaboration of the established final design (DO) in a design-and-build team setting, followed by the execution of the Work. In the design-and-build phase, the DO is elaborated into a contract file ready for execution, including a RAW specification, drawings, execution schedule, BLVC plan and risk file. In doing so, the contractor’s execution expertise is used for, among other things, constructability, phasing, construction logistics, accessibility, cables and conduits, costs and risks. The execution phase, in broad terms, includes the replacement of approximately 2,000 m¹ of sewer, landscaping/redevelopment of approximately 18,000 m² of public space, climate adaptation, greening, work near a high-voltage transmission route, provision of space for a future district heating network, and low-emission and circular working.
