TENDER DESCRIPTION

The Bogenhalle (arch hall) is a building under monument protection and was constructed in the years 1950-1955 as part of the new buildings of the State Sports School. The ensemble consists of three structural components: - the sports hall, which is referred to as a Bogenhalle (arch hall) because of its typical arch segments - the apparatus gymnastics hall - the entrance building with the changing rooms. In 1977, the apparatus gymnastics hall was extended by a simple extension made of a steel hall construction. In 1980, a so-called “Schnitzelgrube” (trough/pit) was added to the apparatus gymnastics hall, taking account of the historical materials: reinforced concrete and a sandstone façade. In 1989, an additional hall made of a steel construction was attached to the reception/entrance building as a shooting hall. The hall serves the shooters as a training room. Except for the extensions, the ensemble of the Bogenhalle has largely been preserved in its original condition and is subject to monument protection.
