Remote interpreting refers to an interpreting service implemented via telephone or video connection, in which the interpreter participates in the interpreting event through a remote connection and is not physically present at the interpreting location. The tenderer is required to have the possibility to use both telephone interpreting and a secure video connection during the interpreting event. The recommendation is that a Teams connection is used. The service is used mainly on weekdays from 8.00 to 17.00 and the interpreter is ordered in advance. Quick interpreting for urgent interpreting situations, in which case the interpreter is ordered without any advance notice period. Quick interpreting is carried out as remote interpreting mainly via telephone connection, but the service provider must be prepared for a video connection as well. The interpreting services are ordered through the service provider’s electronic ordering system and, if necessary, by telephone.
