TENDER DESCRIPTION

On the site of the former Reichsbahnausbesserungswerk Zwickau, between the district of Brand in the north-west and the marshalling yard in the south-east, a new prison (Justizvollzugsanstalt, JVA) Zwickau-Marienthal of the Free States of Saxony and Thuringia is being built on approx. 23 ha. The new JVA is designed for 820 places in custody (582 prison sentences, 148 pre-trial detention places, 90 places for open prison). The future JVA Zwickau-Marienthal has a gross floor area (BGF (a)) of approx. 66,400 m² and a gross building volume (BRI (a)) of approx. 250,700 m³. These are distributed across 14 buildings, which are mostly connected to each other by underground connecting corridors. Courtyards, a sports field, parking areas and other external facilities, as well as rainwater retention in the western part of the site, outside the perimeter wall, complete the construction project. The construction measure is already underway. The preparatory measures for clearing the construction site (site preparation) have been completed.
