TENDER DESCRIPTION

The central kitchens of the Toulouse City Hall provide all meals for the city’s schools and senior citizens’ facilities. Built in 1983 for a capacity of 12,000 meals per day, they now provide 36,000 meals per day. Health requirements and the need to evolve meal-production capacity make it necessary to create a new central kitchen, suitable and with high production capacity (40,000 meals per day). The services covered by this contract concern the design and construction of a central kitchen intended to ensure the production of approximately 40,000 meals per day for the needs of the City of Toulouse. These meals are mainly intended for school-age children and seniors. For information purposes, the estimated envelope for the works is set at EUR 26,000,000 excluding VAT, plus or minus 10% (October 2026 value). This envelope will be refined at the tender stage. The construction of a central kitchen involves significant and interdependent technical constraints. These elements require an integrated and coordinated design between the designer (architect/engineering office) and the contractor.
