    TENDER DESCRIPTION

Pursuant to the Radiation Protection Act (StrlSchG) and the AVV IMIS, the BfS operates a nationwide, closely meshed measurement network to monitor environmental radioactivity (gamma ambient dose rate). The information obtained from the data from around 1,700 probes available today is an essential component of the national radiological situation report, which in turn forms the basis for decisions on measures in radiological situations. In addition, the ODL measurement network has an important task in the early detection of radiological hazard scenarios, which are covered via on-call duty. Finally, the data can also be used for the purpose of dose reconstruction for the public. Alongside data for the continuous measurement of the gamma ambient dose rate, which is calculated from the pulse rates of the two Geiger-Müller counting tubes, complementary in-situ measurements have accompanied the routine measurement programme for many years; in this way, a large collection of data has been assembled. At present, no further insights are obtained from the majority of this data. The project is divided into 4 work packages (WPs) WP 1: Pattern recognition and analysis of long-term in-situ…
