In this project, the reconstruction of stop locations that were omitted from previous works along the 56 tram line must be carried out to ensure the operation of the new low-floor vehicles, in accordance with the requirements for accessibility, from a planned non-reimbursable European Union source. 1. Stops to be rebuilt: • Part I: o Dózsa György tér stop (DGY) o Mikó Street stop (MIK) o Déli Pályaudvar stop (DPU) The Contracting Authority records that the subject construction work qualifies as a permit-required construction investment. The main tasks to be performed during the project are summarized as follows: In order to renew the Budapest tram vehicle fleet, the Budapest Capital City Municipality implemented numerous new CAF tram procurements under a contract supported from European Union funds. In the support agreement concerned, the stop locations of the 56 tram line were also designated as locations where barrier-free transport is to be achieved through low-floor vehicles.
