A1, BW Hochstraße B (structure number 4907 593), Weigh-in-Motion installation The subject of the contract is the design and implementation of a weighing system for the continuous recording of the axle loads of vehicles passing over the structure. As part of an overall assessment of the structure with regard to prestressing steel, the axle loads are to be recorded in order to document continuous, time-dependent component behavior: -As part of extensive tests on the specified structural element, the forces/actions acting on the structure are to be recorded. For this purpose, a weighing system is to be installed within the 6 traffic lanes (2x3 traffic lanes in both directions of travel). Monitoring shall initially be carried out for a fixed period of 2 years. An extension of the monitoring is possible twice, each time by 1 year. The contracting authority reserves the right to terminate an extension with a notice period of three months, provided that the measurement system is no longer required due to the dismantling of the bridge or for other reasons—e.g. if it is found that no wire breaks are being recorded.
