TENDER DESCRIPTION

Years of budget cuts within the Defence organisation have led to severely outdated warehouse racking equipment. Due to current developments, a catch-up effort is taking place to raise the quality of the storage layout again. In addition, units are being expanded and there is revitalization of Defence sites where new warehouse racking equipment is necessary. In addition to the aging of the racking materials, there is also a wide variety of types and brands. Maintenance of warehouse racking equipment is divided into preventive and corrective maintenance and inspections. Preventive maintenance is maintenance that is prescribed by applicable and legal regulations and/or by the manufacturer, and which is necessary to ensure safety and to discover and remedy defects at the earliest possible stage. Defects identified that can be remedied directly fall under preventive maintenance. Corrective maintenance may result from preventive maintenance (if it cannot be remedied directly during preventive maintenance) as well as from reported malfunctions and/or damage.
