TENDER DESCRIPTION

The province of Limburg, as the supervising authority, is responsible for reporting to the national government on the progress of implementation of the Water Framework Directive (KRW) imposed by the European Union. Part of this KRW assignment is to take measures to remediate municipal sewer overflows into surface water, in accordance with applicable guidelines and based on ecological assessment of the relevant surface water. Given the lagging implementation of, among other things, the municipal KRW assignment - as a result of various causes - the province of Limburg, with the aim of accelerating the realisation of this assignment, has established the Water Quality Action Plan. Within this action plan, project support is offered to municipalities to promote and accelerate the implementation of the municipal KRW measures. As the province of Limburg cannot provide this project support itself, it is necessary to deploy external expert parties for this purpose.
