TENDER DESCRIPTION

Access e.V. is a non-profit, independent research institute based in Aachen. Founded in 1986 as a spin-off of RWTH Aachen, Access is today an established centre for materials research as well as for the development, evaluation and qualification of metallurgical materials, processes and application-oriented manufacturing technologies. The purpose of this invitation to tender is the procurement of R&D infrastructure to expand and strengthen a precision casting development chain. The invitation to tender includes a steam autoclave for removing wax patterns from ceramic mould shells as well as a high-performance 3D printer for ceramics for the additive production of ceramic structures relevant to precision casting. The procurement is carried out in two lots. The systems offered support key process steps in the development and production of ceramic moulds and cores for precision casting. The steam autoclave is used for the controlled melt-out of the wax patterns from ceramic mould shells using steam, pressure and temperature.
