TENDER DESCRIPTION

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE The City of Akaa (hereinafter also referred to as “contracting authority”) is putting out to tender for a project development partner for the comprehensive development of the Toijala railway station area. The procurement is carried out as a negotiated procedure as described in more detail below. Based on the tender competition, one (1) project development partner will be selected, which is responsible for developing and coordinating the project entity in accordance with the City’s objectives. The task of the project development partner is to form a functionally justified and financially feasible overall entity to be implemented in phases, for the Toijala railway station area’s land use, traffic arrangements, the City’s space needs, commercial services and any residential and service housing functions. The task also includes the general planning of an underpass bridge associated with the underpass at the Toijala railway yard and its coordination as part of other planning and development for the railway station area.
