TENDER DESCRIPTION

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE The City of Akaa (hereinafter also the “contracting entity”) is organising a procurement procedure to select a project development partner for the comprehensive development of the Toijala railway station area. The procurement is carried out as a negotiated procedure as described in more detail below. Based on the tender competition, one (1) project development partner will be selected, which will be responsible for developing and coordinating the overall project package in accordance with the City’s objectives. The task of the project development partner is to form a functionally justified and financially feasible overall solution that can be implemented in phases, through the land use of the Toijala railway station area, traffic arrangements, the City’s premises needs, commercial services, and any functions related to housing and service housing. The assignment also includes the general planning of the pedestrian underpass bridge associated with the underpass in the Toijala railway yard, and coordinating it as part of the other planning and development for the railway station area.
