The procurement concerns a construction contract for the refurbishment and extension of Åkerö School in Leksand Municipality. The school is an F-6 school with approximately 300 pupils. The school currently lacks a kitchen and dining hall, and the pupils go to a nearby care home to eat. The school is to be developed through refurbishment and extensions, which involves surface refurbishment and an extension including, among other things, classrooms, group rooms, rooms for pre-school activities, and a preparation kitchen as well as a dining hall. Partnering contract The contract is to be carried out in collaboration (partnering) between the contracting authority and the contractor. Partnering means a structured form of cooperation in which the parties work together to achieve the project’s overall objectives regarding function, quality, time and cost. The purpose of partnering is for the parties, with combined expertise, to carry out the entire construction process, where everyone focuses on what is best for the project based on sustainability, technology, economics and management.
