TENDER DESCRIPTION

The Federal Government pursues the objective of systematically and effectively strengthening affordable housing construction, urban and regional development, and innovations in above-ground construction. For the conceptual preparation of policy decisions and for the implementation of priority areas for action, the BMWSB requires scientific expertise. In this context, the BMWSB relies on comprehensive studies and long-term research projects, as well as on the expertise of the BBSR, in order to fundamentally prepare research topics relevant to policy in the fields of housing, urban development and construction. On the other hand, there is also a need for short-term scientific expertise in order to be able to act flexibly and evidence-based in current social debates. Under this framework agreement, such short-term economic questions arising for the BMWSB and its portfolio research institution, the Bundesinstitut für Bau-, Stadt- und Raumforschung (BBSR), are to be examined on an ad hoc basis by academics.
