TENDER DESCRIPTION

The city of Bad Kötzting intends to renovate and convert the so-called Schoierer property ("Old Butchery") at Herrenstraße 3, directly next to the town hall. The non-listed ensemble of buildings has high urban significance due to its history and its characteristic influence on the local townscape. Parts of the building date back to the 15th/16th century. Numerous conversions and extensions have resulted in a heterogeneous construction, structural and access configuration with differing floor and ceiling levels. The project is being developed within the model project "Vacancy now LIVING." The aim is to preserve the existing building stock as comprehensively as possible, to activate vacant spaces, and to create affordable, contemporary housing with complementary communal and commercial uses. A feasibility study prepared in advance forms an important basis for the concept, especially for the analysis part. It shows that the building has potential for further development. On the ground floor, flexible usage units for commerce, start-ups, coworking, as well as creative and communal offerings were studied. Apartment units are to be created in the two upper floors.
