TENDER DESCRIPTION

In the Republic of Croatia, through the public service of collecting municipal waste, a system for separate collection of recyclable municipal waste has been developed, in particular through containers for paper and cardboard, plastic, metal, multi-layer packaging and glass. In separately collected recyclable municipal waste, there is a significant share of waste packaging for which product manufacturers pay the prescribed charges to the Fund. However, in the same streams there are also materials that are not waste packaging, as well as non-qualifying waste, i.e. contaminants that cannot be financed from the waste packaging system funds. For this reason, it is necessary to determine the actual composition of individual streams of separately collected recyclable municipal waste, in particular the share of waste packaging, the share of non-packaging recyclable municipal waste, the share of non-qualifying waste, the share of mixed municipal waste present in separately collected streams, the share of packaging that belongs to the return-charge system, the mass and volumetric shares of individual fractions, and the waste densities in loose condition and in collection vehicles.
