TENDER DESCRIPTION

The purpose of this invitation to tender is the award of a mandate for overall project management (OPM) for the redevelopment of the Schützenmatte site covering SIA phases 31 to 53. The OPM, on behalf of Tiefbau Stadt Bern, assumes operational management of the overall project and ensures the targeted implementation of the project objectives from planning through to completion. The OPM’s tasks include in particular the integrated control of a complex inner-city transformation process. The Schützenmatte is characterised by an exceptionally high functional, social and political density. As a central urban space, it simultaneously acts as a transport hub, a place to meet, a cultural attraction and a social focal point. The OPM ensures that the redevelopment is carried out taking into account these complex framework conditions. This includes in particular the diverse requirements for use, the high level of public and political attention, and the demanding integration into existing urban structures and processes.
