TENDER DESCRIPTION

The contract concerns the architectural elaboration of the renovation/extension, including the outdoor area, of the Montessori Vaklyceum at Vondellaan 83 in Groningen. The assignment includes the preparation, design and further elaboration of future-proof educational accommodation, in line with the ambitions of Openbaar Onderwijs Groningen and the municipality of Groningen. The renovation/extension consists of retaining approximately 1,300 m² of the existing building from 1968 and realizing approximately 4,000 m² of new construction, together approximately 5,300 m² BVO. The existing building section from 1968 represents significant cultural-historical value and therefore forms not only an existing building that is retained, but a fundamental starting point for the design assignment. In addition to the building, the immediate outdoor area is also part of the design assignment.
