TENDER DESCRIPTION

The subject of the design competition is the preparation of an architectural design for the renovation of the administrative building of the Supreme Court of the Slovak Republic (NS SR), which is located at: Župné námestie No. 13. The renovation is necessary due to the insufficient technical condition of the building and its demanding energy and economic operation, which prevent the full use of its potential. Purpose of the design competition The purpose of the design competition is to find, from among the submitted designs, the one that best addresses the contracting authority’s requirement to create a dignified and modern seat for the NS SR and also the NSS SR, will contribute to the more efficient use of public resources, and will at the same time preserve the architectural legacy of architect Vladimír Dedeček. The new assignment will build on his original concept — two clearly separated parts within one building that use shared spaces.
