TENDER DESCRIPTION

For the Lower Saxony measure execution centre (Niedersächsisches Maßregelvollzugszentrum, MRVZN), a framework agreement is to be awarded in the form of a hospital care contract for the provision of medicines, medical devices subject to pharmacy requirements and goods customarily supplied by pharmacies to patients pursuant to Section 1a(10) of the Pharmacy Operating Regulations (Apothekenbetriebsordnung, ApBetrO). The procurement procedure is based on Section 1(3) of the "Medicinal Products Price Regulation" (Arzneimittelpreisverordnung) of 14.11.1980 in its currently applicable version, according to which hospitals and those institutions deemed equivalent pursuant to Section 14(8) sentence 2 of the Pharmacy Act (Apothekengesetz), as well as penal institutions (Justizvollzugsanstalten) and youth detention centres (Jugendarrestanstalten), are exempt from the price brackets and prices of pharmacies.
