TENDER DESCRIPTION

The Westdeutscher Rundfunk (WDR) intends to award services in this procurement procedure for the development, implementation, and operation of a cloud-based transmission and processing system for the audio netcast reporting of the football Bundesliga as well as for other competitions. The Audio Netcast Package Bundesliga is an offering of ARD with live full commentaries of all matches of the first and second Bundesliga, Champions League with German involvement, DFB Cup, and Supercup as an audio stream. Full commentary streams of individual matches are offered for all games. In total, this amounts to up to 720 matches per season. In addition, there are conferences for simultaneously occurring matches. The audio streams are accessible via apps and various online platforms (e.g., Sportschau app, wdr2.de) as well as in various voice assistant systems (e.g., Alexa). The streams are complemented by a live-hosted supporting program produced using WDR's own production technology.
