TENDER DESCRIPTION

As part of carrying out construction work, construction vehicles, transport vehicles and construction machinery must regularly enter and leave the work area. For this purpose, especially in the case of long construction sections, construction access roads within the construction site are used, i.e. in the longitudinal traffic of the motorway. Such access roads create additional conflict points with the flowing traffic, which can reduce traffic safety and/or lead to disruptions in traffic flow. At present, there are no standards for the training and design of such construction access roads. While construction access roads are generally taken into account in rules and work safety regulations, to date only a few scientifically well-founded findings exist regarding their safe and effective design. The aim of this research project is the systematic investigation of construction access roads within construction sites of longer duration on BAB, as well as the development of scientifically well-founded recommendations for their planning, design and operation.
