TENDER DESCRIPTION
Between 12.12.2026 and 22.04.2027, the IBM maintenance contracts for a total of two IBM TS4500 tape libraries and 76 IBM LTO-9 tape drives will expire. The maintenance is to be extended in such a way that a uniform support end date of 22.04.2028 is set for all components. In addition, the option must be included to extend maintenance of the systems beyond that point annually, each time by a further year, until the end of service life of the components. This option may be exercised unilaterally by the LRZ without the consent of the contracting party. The option must be exercised no later than one month before expiry of the respective contract term. The deciding factors for the decision to exercise the option are the available budgetary funds and the possibility of continuing to operate the system economically.
