TENDER DESCRIPTION
Between 12.12.2026 and 22.04.2027, the IBM maintenance contracts for a total of two IBM TS4500 Tape Libraries and 76 IBM LTO-9 tape drives expire. The maintenance shall be extended in such a way that a uniform support end date of 22.04.2028 is set for all components. In addition, the option must be included to extend the maintenance of the systems beyond that, annually, each time for another year, up to the end of service life of the components. This option may be exercised by the LRZ unilaterally and without the consent of the contracting party. The option must be exercised no later than one month before the expiry of the respective contract term. The decision to exercise the option depends on the available budget funds and on the possibility of continuing to operate the system economically.
