TENDER DESCRIPTION

The Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency (Väylävirasto) is seeking a ship’s deck division supervisor for the period covering the basic and detailed engineering design and construction of the assistance icebreaker, and to support the Client during the vessel’s warranty period. The ship’s deck division supervisor acts as the representative of Väylävirasto in supervising the vessel’s basic and detailed engineering design and construction for the deck, bridge and general arrangement side. The role is full-time. The agreement also includes an option that starts upon delivery of the vessel and ends at the end of the vessel’s warranty period. The ship’s deck division supervisor works as part of the new build supervision team coordinated by the project manager of the new build supervision company acting as a consultant for Väylävirasto, in close cooperation with Väylävirasto’s project organization, as well as with the supervisors who act as consultants for Väylävirasto: the project manager of the new build supervision, the machinery division supervisor, and the electrical and automation division supervisor.
