TENDER DESCRIPTION

The State Enterprise for Road Construction and Transport Schleswig-Holstein, location Lübeck, and the Lower Saxony State Enterprise for Road Construction and Transport, regional business division Lüneburg, are planning jointly, under contract administration by the federal road authority, the replacement construction of the B 209 Elbe crossing near Lauenburg/Hohnstorf with the new construction of the bypass road Lauenburg Ost. The project is a partial project of the plan “B 5 / B 209 Elbe crossing near Lauenburg/Hohnstorf with bypasses”. At the current time, the road authority has yet to determine the preferred variant for the Elbe crossing. In the final selection, two bridge variants near to the existing structure are under consideration: BBW-1-0-BR (“Existing West”) and BBO-1-4-BR (“Existing East”). Depending on the variant, the length of the route between the connection points is approximately 2.6 to 2.7 km. Existing West comprises 2 bridges, one over the Elbe and one over the railway line east of Lauenburg station.
