TENDER DESCRIPTION

The State Enterprise for Road Construction and Transport Schleswig-Holstein, location Lübeck, and the Lower Saxony State Enterprise for Road Construction and Transport, regional business unit Lüneburg, are planning jointly, in contract administration by the federal road authority, the replacement construction of the B 209 Elbe crossing near Lauenburg/Hohnstorf with the construction of a new ring road for the east bypass of Lauenburg. The project is a sub-project of the planning “B 5 / B 209 Elbe crossing near Lauenburg/Hohnstorf with bypasses”. At this point in time, the road authority’s decision on the preferred option for the Elbe crossing is still pending. In the final selection, two bridge options close to existing infrastructure are under consideration: BBW-1-0-BR (“Existing-West”) and BBO-1-4-BR (“Existing-East”). Depending on the option, the length of the route between the tie-in points is approx. 2.6 to 2.7 km. Existing-West comprises 2 bridges, one over the Elbe and one over the rail line east of Lauenburg station.
