TENDER DESCRIPTION
The subject of the present project is the construction and operation of a grid-connected stand-alone battery storage system (BESS) with an electrical connection capacity of 70 MW and a usable storage capacity of 140 MWh on the customer's premises. The storage system is to be connected to the customer's own 60 kV medium voltage network via a medium voltage transformer and is intended for participation in arbitrage trading. The location of the battery storage is on a greenfield site owned by STADTWERKE FLENSBURG GMBH (SWFL). The system is planned to be executed as a containerized or modular storage solution, consisting of battery systems, inverter units, transformer technology, protection and control technology, as well as the necessary ancillary systems. The storage capacity is intended for participation in energy trading. In particular, the marketing of flexibilities via short-term electricity markets is planned in order to generate revenues from price spreads and market-related arbitrage potentials.
