TENDER DESCRIPTION

The Gasteig is Munich’s large, centrally located cultural and education centre. With around 1.8 million visitors and more than 1,800 events per year, it is Germany’s largest cultural centre. After more than 30 years of intensive use, the building’s general refurbishment is due to take place. In advance, in the years 2027-2028, the building will be remediated of hazardous substances. The Münchner Raumordnungsgesellschaft mbH (MRG), as the contracting authority (CA), intends to arrange insurance tailored to requirements during the advance remediation of hazardous substances / the demolition of the Gasteig within the framework of contractors’ liability insurance. The procurement of the contractors’ liability insurance is carried out in four parts. The lead insurer for the basic coverage of the contractors’ liability insurance has already been identified and instructed. In a second procedure, the participating insurer(s) for the basic coverage were identified for the basic coverage. This procedure is close to completion.
