TENDER DESCRIPTION

The Gasteig is Munich’s large, centrally located cultural and educational centre. With approximately 1.8 million visitors and more than 1,800 events per year, it is Germany’s largest cultural centre. After a more than 30-year intensive period of use, the building’s general refurbishment is due. In the years 2027-2028, the building’s hazardous substance remediation will be carried out in advance. The Münchner Raumordnungsgesellschaft mbH (MRG), as the contracting authority (AG), intends to arrange appropriate insurance during the early remediation of hazardous substances / the demolition of the Gasteig as part of contractors’ liability insurance. The procurement of the contractors’ liability insurance is carried out in four parts. The lead insurer for the basic cover of the contractors’ liability insurance has already been identified and commissioned. In a second procedure, for the basic cover, the participating insurer(s) for the basic cover were identified. This procedure is close to completion.
