TENDER DESCRIPTION

Providing the structure-change region with future-proof digital infrastructures is a prerequisite for successfully transforming into an innovative economic region. A central element of a modern telecommunications infrastructure is the new mobile communications standard 5G. The Federation and the Land are planning for the region, in the medium term, a nationwide 5G service covering all areas. Saxony-Anhalt wants an additional “5G focus” to be set in the structure-change region: the aim is to improve public mobile telecommunications coverage using the latest 5G standard, as well as the requirement-based provision of 5G campus networks for commercial areas, industrial parks and large enterprises in the structure-change region. For up to ten projects (in the Burgenlandkreis, Mansfeld-Südharz, Saalekreis, Anhalt-Bitterfeld), comprehensive support is to be provided for project implementation.
