The municipalities in Hesse are currently in very different phases of digital transformation. In the course of digital transformation, and when planning and implementing digitisation projects, municipalities have very different consulting needs. Especially projects with a high level of innovation bring with them a wide range of questions that must be answered promptly and individually for successful implementation. This can likewise be clearly observed in the digitisation projects funded through the programme “Starke Heimat Hessen” under the funding scheme for “smarter municipalities and regions”. The consulting office “Smarte Region”, anchored in the State Ministry for Digitalisation and Innovation in Hesse (HMD), will therefore expand its consulting offer for the municipalities.
