As part of REFlexBatt 2.0, the existing battery line at MEET is to be expanded accordingly in order to enable flexible materials and process development at a small scale (< 1 kg) using scalable methods. This includes in particular the production of electrode pastes and/or granules as well as the subsequent cell manufacturing. In addition, the integration of digital solutions for recording, analysis, and evaluation of process and quality data is planned. These data form the basis for data-driven quality management with a particular focus on traceability and continuous process optimization. Overall, the pilot line is to be enabled by the project to flexibly, efficiently, and scalable represent different existing and future battery technologies.
