TENDER DESCRIPTION

The Cell Biology working group of the Institute of Physiology and Cell Biology of the Foundation University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover (TiHo) intends to procure a (1) versatile, user-friendly, highly flexible confocal spinning-disk benchtop microscope for research purposes in cell biology. The use of this device is intended to enable optical investigation of fluorescent proteins, dyes and other reagents in living and fixed cells. The system requires combined transmitted light illumination with brightfield and differential phase contrast, widefield epifluorescence as well as spinning-disk confocal microscopy for imaging fixed and living samples, including single cells, organoids, entire embryos and organ fragments. The microscope should be capable of combining excitation of various fluorescence emitter systems, high-precision scanning with powerful detectors, as well as software packages for image analysis, image rendering and image presentation.
