TENDER DESCRIPTION

The Water Protection Act obliges the operators of public wastewater facilities to carry out regular condition inspections of the sewer network. ERZ Entwässerung of the City of Zurich carries out these inspections throughout the entire city area and examines channels with pipe diameters of DN 80 to DN 3000. The condition surveys serve to preserve the value of the infrastructure, to ensure operational safety, and to protect water bodies and the environment. For carrying out these works, specialised sewer inspection vehicles with modern camera and inspection technology are required. The requirements for availability, deployment flexibility, and technical performance are high due to the different sewer sizes and operating conditions. Pursuant to the City of Zurich’s climate protection targets and the city’s vehicle policy, the vehicle fleet must be converted to renewable drive systems by no later than 2035, with only a few unavoidable exceptions.
