TENDER DESCRIPTION

The subject of this tender is the procurement of nationwide (Hesse-wide) connectivity for sites of the Hessian education and school administration to the HZD data centre with defined bandwidths and defined quality via an xDSL provider solution independent of the Internet, as well as corresponding services in this context. In Hesse, there are approximately 2,000 schools. Currently, around 80% of these schools are in public sponsorship by one of the 35 public-law school sponsors. The remaining 20% of schools are in independent sponsorship (replacement schools and supplementary schools). Each administration of these schools has at least one workstation computer that is connected to the Hessian School Administration Network (HSVN) and is used exclusively for administrative purposes. The administrations of larger schools use multiple workstation devices. In addition to these school administration networks, many school locations also have so-called educational networks.
