The contract timeline is as follows:

The initial period for "Betreuung und Weiterentwicklung" is from July 1, 2027, to June 3, 2029.

The client has a unilateral option to extend the contract for the following periods:

• July 1, 2029, to June 30, 2030
• July 1, 2030, to June 30, 2031
• July 1, 2031, to June 30, 2032
• July 1, 2032, to June 30, 2033
• July 1, 2033, to June 30, 2034

The option for extension can be exercised by written declaration up to January 1st of the year before the contract's end.

The core scope of work for this tender involves establishing a framework agreement for the takeover, operation, and ongoing development of the client's existing website infrastructure and associated applications. The technological foundation for most websites across the client's business areas, including specific URLs (e.g., berlinerfestspiele.de, hkw.de, berlinale.de) and the Gropius Bau-App, is the Magnolia Content Management System (CMS).

Key deliverables and services include:

• Project Takeover: The successful bidder must assume control of the existing project, incorporating all specified requirements, within the initial two months of the contract duration.
• Infrastructure Provision and Operation: This entails providing a highly available, secure, and scalable infrastructure for web platforms, built on a containerized operating architecture. The contractor is responsible for its provision, administration, configuration, monitoring, and continuous enhancement. The infrastructure must meet requirements for availability, security, recoverability, cost-efficiency, automation, scalability, and portability, while minimizing vendor lock-in and ensuring operational flexibility.
• Continuous Development: Ensure transparent, cost-efficient, and sustainable further development of web platforms, aiming to avoid unnecessary cost increases. All services are to be implemented adhering to principles of reusability, standardization, scalability, and cost-efficiency, with individual solutions limited and their impact on operations and maintenance transparently evaluated.
• Efficient Collaboration: Foster efficient cooperation among all involved disciplines, proactively clarifying responsibilities, service scopes, budgets, and dependencies.
• CMS Operation: Operate the CMS, including both existing and newly developed websites and applications, and create necessary documentation in accordance with defined Service Level Agreements.
• Operational and Administration Services: Provide ongoing operational and administrative support.
