TENDER DESCRIPTION

The subject of the service to be tendered is the continuation and operation of the information office "Bicycle parking". The BALM has been assigned the project sponsorship for the special programme "City and countryside" (SP "S&L"). This includes the operation of the information office established in 2021, which supports municipalities and other relevant stakeholders through expert advice, knowledge transfer, information services and practical toolkits in the planning and implementation of bicycle parking facilities and bicycle parking garages. The current assignment ends on 31.12.2027; the information office is to be continued from 01.01.2028 and further developed in a manner that meets needs, both in terms of content and expertise. The further development of the field of action and the administrative agreement for the SP "S&L" that will be in place until 2030 also justify a considerable need for information and support beyond 2027. More up-to-date estimates from the current contract period assume, due to the forecast increase in passenger numbers, an additional approximately 1.84 million bicycle parking spaces by 2040.
