TENDER DESCRIPTION

The subject of this lot is the operation of the passive fibre-optic network (FTTB) to be constructed in the cadastral district of Bärenthal as part of the gap closure programme under No. 9.1 of the Gigabit Directive 2.0 (operator model under No. 3.2), including subsequent network extensions (e.g. densification measures in the localities or the development of building plots) within the cadastral district. The handover of the first partially completed sub-networks ready for operation to the network operator is scheduled for mid-2027, and the handover of the last sub-network for 2028. Through a service concession, the network operator ensures network operation, including the construction and operation of the active technology, and provides Internet and telecommunications services, including as bundled offers, to private and commercial end customers. In addition, the network operator is responsible for granting open network access (Open Access) with active and passive wholesale products; the wholesale prices that the Federal Government has defined bindingly with the involvement of the Bundesnetzagentur are deemed to be an upper limit.
