TENDER DESCRIPTION

The contracting authority is BLS Breitbandversorgungsgesellschaft in Landkreis Sigmaringen mbH & Co. KG (BLS Breitband). Based on the existing infrastructure, the contracting authority plans the construction of a funded gigabit network based on FTTB technology in the cadastral districts referred to in Section A.3 successively in the years 2026 to 2032. Starting from the existing backbone network of BLS Breitband, the funded gigabit network (FTTB) consists of feeder line infrastructures into the supply area as well as in-town distribution networks in the respective expansion areas. A cartographic representation of the expansion area for the planned gigabit network (FTTB), defined by address points, can be found in the attachment “supply area”. This newly created passive gigabit network (FTTB) is intended to be made available successively to a private-sector network operator in the form of ready-to-operate sub-networks for the use and establishment of the active network level and for the supply with high-bit-rate broadband connections for a fee.
