TENDER DESCRIPTION

The contracting authority is BLS Broadband Supply Company in the Sigmaringen district mbH & Co. KG (BLS Broadband). Based on the existing infrastructure, the contracting authority plans to establish a subsidized Gigabit network based on FTTB technology in the cadastral areas named under section A.3 successively from 2026 to 2029. Starting from the existing backbone network of BLS Broadband, the subsidized Gigabit network (FTTB) consists of feeder infrastructures into the supply area as well as local distribution networks in the respective expansion areas. A cartographic representation of the expansion area defined by address points for the planned Gigabit network (FTTB) can be found in the annex Supply Area. This newly created passive Gigabit network (FTTB) is to be gradually handed over to a private network operator as operationally ready subnets for use and creation of the active network layer and the provision of high-bitrate broadband connections for a fee.
